The tower is accessible from the tourist office and can be visited all year round, depending on office hours in Cluny.

Accessible from the tourist office, the tower can be visited all year round, depending on office opening hours. Climb its 120 steps to admire the most beautiful panorama of the entire city and surrounding bell towers. Formerly known as the Tour des Fèves (Bean Tower), it owes its new name of Tour des Fromages (Cheese Tower) to a 19th-century cheese-maker who used it to dry her cheeses. As an added bonus, the staircase is lined with a photographic exhibition showcasing the work of the local heritage preservation association.

Beautiful tower still in medieval style. Climb the wooden stairs and high ceiling rooms to experience the restoration of different city parts. Kids under 6 are free. Wooden stairs are not very safe for kids under 6 years old so take care. You can view the whole village!
