LE VILLAGE DU LIVRE
It was in 1999, more than twenty years ago, that Cuisery's book village was born. It is an entire district of the village that is entirely devoted to books, comics, and records. A real curiosity when you know that there are only 8 Book Villages in France. In addition to the ten bookshops and two workshops of book craftsmen (bookbinding and old printing), booksellers and craftsmen sell all kinds of books at reasonable prices. We like to stroll down the main street, stop at each stand, stroll through the stalls, rummage through the trunks and shelves to unearth the rare product. Every first Sunday of the month, the Grande Rue organises the Book Market and welcomes outside exhibitors in addition to the professionals present on site. It's time for the big unpacking and time to do good business. In the autumn, the village also organises its Record and Comic Book Market. Cultural events take place all year round: exhibitions, shows, concerts, literary meetings and short story competitions.
