EVOA stands for Espace pour la visite et l'observation des oiseaux. A contemporary, all-wood building housing exhibition spaces and a documentation center. But you come here to see some of the 200 species of birds that inhabit the surrounding pastures and marshes. The Tagus estuary is Portugal's largest wetland (14,000 ha) and is home to over 120,000 birds! You can discover the reserve at your own pace, on a 5 km walking trail (3 lagoons, 6 observatories), or via a guided tour. A magical experience!
