SWEETWATERS CHIMPANZEE SANCTUARY
Refuge for chimpanzees from Central and West Africa, a place to protect these often hunted animals
The originator of this refuge was Jane Goodall. Today, it is home to chimpanzees from Central and West Africa. Often hunted for their meat, they find here a place of welcome and protection. Accessible all day, the lookout is free. However, for the "behind the scene" activity at 11:45 a.m., reservations are essential and the number of people is limited to 8. No physical contact is allowed between visitors and chimpanzees.
