Demarcation Line Interpretation Center, research and exhibition center with library and museography.
A unique place in France, the site is dedicated to the history of the demarcation line that cut France off from Switzerland to Spain, crossing the Saône-et-Loire. The building with its symbolic architecture houses the permanent exhibition. Its construction on the banks of the Canal du Centre is a reminder that the canal was used in 1940 to demarcate the demarcation line. 22 panels retrace the daily life of the French during this period. A fascinating place full of history.
