The first Himalayan temple in 1974, welcoming thousands of visitors and tourists attracted by its beauty and uniqueness.

A center for study and meditation, the Paldenshangpa Buddhist temple is Europe's first Himalayan temple, built in 1974. Modelled on the first temple built in Tibet, it was created by a French couple. It welcomes tourists attracted by the beauty and singularity of the site, as well as believers devoted to the study of Buddhist teachings and meditation. The site will celebrate its 50th anniversary on June 30, 2024, with a day dedicated to the sacred relics of Buddha.

Un endroit complètement hors du temps à visiter au moins une fois dans sa vie. Un lieu des plus reposants et déroutant de par ses couleurs, son architecture, tout y est pour passer un moment agréable, loin du tumulte du quotidien.

Très beau temple, bien entretenue, très facile de se garer, l’entrée est payante mais ça en vaux le coup à mon sens au vu de la qualité du lieu,
Possibilité d’y séjourner pour se reposer quelques jours,
Petite boutique pour souvenirs ou pour achats multiple,
Lieu recommandé si vous êtes dans le coin.

Tout beigne dans des couleurs magnifiques dans un silence de haute montagne! Je recommande pour une nouvelle expérience!
