A center for study and meditation, the Paldenshangpa Buddhist temple is Europe's first Himalayan temple, built in 1974. Modelled on the first temple built in Tibet, it was created by a French couple. It welcomes tourists attracted by the beauty and singularity of the site, as well as believers devoted to the study of Buddhist teachings and meditation. The site will celebrate its 50th anniversary on June 30, 2024, with a day dedicated to the sacred relics of Buddha.
