We've fallen in love with this magnificent address, located half an hour from the Ek Balam ruins. In the charming center of Espita, it's an old colonial building that has been superbly restored. 8 rooms in the middle of a tropical garden, an infinity pool, a contemporary extension opening onto the vegetation: it's a delight for the eyes everywhere. To make matters worse, Casona, the gourmet bar-restaurant run by chef Jorge Ildefonso, offers a fine menu based on regional products. Highly recommended.
