L'Hôtellerie du Val d'Or, located in the prestigious wine village of Mercurey, combines charm and quality services. Catherine Ray and Aurélie Couteau have given it a welcome facelift. This former 19th-century coaching inn has retained the elegance of its typically Burgundian dining room. A beautiful stone staircase leads to the classically styled bedrooms. The enclosed courtyard terrace, shaded by a cedar tree, is perfect.

Excellent rapport qualité-prix. Les chambres sont plutôt simples et pas très grandes, mais le restaurant est splendide, dans la salle comme dans l'assiette. Mention spéciale pour l'abricot confit au caramel de romarin commandé pour le dessert : une pure merveille ! La petite cour (où l'on peut manger) est un vrai havre de paix.
Pour une nuit ou deux, c'est une très bonne adresse !
