Since 2022, Domaine de la Monette has been in the hands of Pierre-Étienne Chevallier, a young winemaker who trained in Beaune before gaining experience in Côte-d'Or, California and Côte Chalonnaise. Accompanied by his wife Lise, he cultivates 12.5 hectares of vines in Mercurey, Givry, Rully and Bouzeron, all certified organic. Controlled weeding, unmowed fallow land at the edge of the vineyard, fruit tree planting, yield control and parcel-based vinification are just some of the fundamentals of the domaine, which deserve a closer look.
