Domaine Duvernay in Mercurey is particularly welcoming, with its glass-enclosed boutique cellar overlooking the vines. It's also a young domaine, founded in 1970 by Jean Duvernay, the grandfather who dug his cellar in the stone at the foot of his house. Today, it's his son Jean-Luc and granddaughter Floriane who share the work. The domaine cultivates 20 ha of vines in the Coteaux bourguignons, Crémant, Aligoté, Mercurey white and red appellations, including the flagship Mercurey rouge1er Cru Le Clos l'Évêque.
