LE PRIEURÉ
This priory was the first Christian sanctuary in the area, and the association Les Amis du Prieuré organizes tours.
After the passage of St Martin, who evangelised the region, the Priory was the first Christian sanctuary in the area. There is no precise date as to when the Priory was founded, but the first mention of it dates back to 843 in a diploma by which Charles the Bald confirmed the authority of the church of Autun over this establishment. In 994, the Priory, which housed Benedictine monks, came under the direction of Cluny until the Revolution, after which it was transformed into a farm. Unfortunately partially destroyed, it is now a private building, run by the association Les Amis du Prieuré, which organises visits and opens the site to the public during Heritage Days and at events organised by the association.
