An ecomuseum made up of a network of sites presenting the Bresse region, its natural environment, history and architecture.

The Écomusée de la Bresse bourguignonne is a network of 11 sites (some open exceptionally) presenting the Bresse region in its historical, social and cultural context. Its headquarters are at the superb 17th-century château de Pierre-de-Bresse. The ecomuseum presents the natural environment, history, skills, traditional lifestyles and architecture of the Bresse region. Workshops, lectures and concerts take place here.

L' Écomusée m'a intéressé par ces tres nombreux vieux objets mis en valeur dans un décor de la vie rurale ancienne. Le détail explicite de beaux meubles et bijoux anciens, m'ont également plus Dommage qu'il n'y a pas à visiter dans le contexte du château, des pièces décorées avec un mobilier d'une époque historique !

Ce musée permet à la fois de visiter l'intérieur du château, mais aussi d'expliquer l'histoire de celui-ci et de la "Bresse" durant une longue période.
La visite avec l'audioguide est pertinente et permet de comprendre cette évolution de la région de manière synthétique.
