This bistro in Saint-Vallier is a promising address offering simple, generous cuisine prepared by Carole.
Le Bistrot des Chavannes has been reborn since September 2023, thanks to Carole and Cathy, two friends who gave this bar-restaurant, which dates back to 1900, a makeover. With its wooden, iron and Formica tables, and its stove enthroned in the middle, it has preserved, along the canal, its soul of an old mining café. Although not overly sophisticated, the food is good and homemade. Excellent value for money, with two choices per dish from a menu that changes daily (check it out on Facebook). Concerts and shows are organized twice a month, and a guinguette is promised for summer 2024.
