ÉGLISE DE SAINT-JULIEN
Classified Historic monument since 1862, the Romanesque church Saint-Julien de Sennecey-le-Grand was abandoned in the th century when the cult was transferred to the new church built on the location of the old castle of Sennecey. The church still remains consecrated, and masses, baptisms and marriages are celebrated there. The church has undergone numerous restorations. In 2004-2005, the mural paintings were restored. In 2010, it was the nave, the transept, the collatéraux and some of the chapels that were restored. The church structure is of origin, with beams dating back to the th century. The nave can accommodate up to 200 people, with new, sober and bright windows.
