Open since the end of 2023, Shalimar completes the (already rich) offer of Indian and Pakistani cuisine in downtown Auxerre. In a cosy setting, you'll enjoy all the classics, from chicken tikka and beef massala to Saint-Jacques chili and gambas korma. Not forgetting, for starters, samossas and pakoras. And of course, you can't go wrong with an emblematic cheese or garlic naan! In short, no real surprises, but the quality is there. And the welcome is very friendly.

Excellent restaurant indien, cuisine fraîche, authentique, faite maison et parfumée. Le service est adorable, le resto est propre et bien tenu. Bonne sélection de vins locaux (Irancy, Chablis, Coulanges). Moi qui adore la cuisine indienne, je désespérais de trouver une adresse correcte à Auxerre ; me voilà enchantée avec ce nouveau lieu !

Ouvert depuis fin 2023, j'y suis allé par hasard et je dois avouer que j'ai été agréablement surpris par le côté cosy de la déco, l'amabilité du serveur et la qualité de la cuisine à un prix tout à fait correct. J'espère que cela va durer car ce restaurant indien vaut le coup.
