At the end of 2022, Karine and Gilles Hauth opened La Pateasserie in place of Pâtisserie Bertrand, which had stood here, a stone's throw from the Horloge tower, for 33 years. No spelling mistake, just a play on words to point out the existence - on the second floor - of a cosy little tearoom where you can take a break from your city tour. Just long enough to savour one of the excellent home-made pastries, macaroons or chocolates on offer in this delightful establishment. Or even treat yourself to a Sunday morning brunch.

Opening time and information on LA PATEASSERIE

Open Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 7pm; Sunday, 8:30am to 1pm. Tearoom open until 5pm (afternoons reserved for Tea Time formulas, including a pastry and a drink). Open on Sundays for brunch (reservation recommended). Tearoom on second floor.

Évacuer les lieux

Nous sommes allées ma fille et moi-même prendre un thé dans cet établissement où nous avons acheté un sachet de biscuits en accompagnement. Le lieu est agréable et les biscuits assez bons. Cependant, pendant notre goûter, une serveuse est venue nous demander d' "évacuer" la table, prétextant que notre visite ne devait pas excéder 45 minutes étant donné que nous n'avions pas consommé de pâtisserie. La responsable nous faisant remarquer notre "petit ticket" qui s'élevait à 2 thés et un sachet se biscuits. Pour résumer, ne rentrez pas dans cette pâtisserie pour y prendre un thé sans y laisser une note confortable sous peine d'être mis dehors. Scandaleux de la part du propriétaire d'agir ainsi, où la satisfaction client ne semble pas être la priorité. Établissement à fuir, nous n'avons jamais vu cela, nous n'y retournerons pas.
