The former Tribunal d'Instance, a building with a vaulted cellar and guardroom in Avallon.

Facing the collegiate church, the court of first instance occupies a part of the old castle. From its various reconstructions in the 17th and 19th centuries, the building still has a vaulted cellar and a guard room. Today it is a private house that cannot be visited.
