CITY OF CLIMATES AND WINES OF BURGUNDY
Inaugurated in 2023, this great city is spread over 3 emblematic Burgundy sites: Beaune, Mâcon and Chablis.
The Cité des Climats et des vins de Bourgogne is a network of three wine tourism sites located in three towns: Chablis, Beaune and Mâcon, with three complementary visitor itineraries that highlight the specific winegrowing characteristics of each area, and pass on an age-old cultural heritage.
The Cité des Climats et des Vins de Bourgogne in Chablis is housed in the 12th-century cellar of Petit Pontigny, which has been transformed into a venue dedicated to promoting the vineyards and wines of northern Burgundy, the Chablisien, Châtillonnais and Grand Auxerrois regions. The cellar has been fitted with terraces and a contemporary extension harmoniously integrated into the meditative atmosphere of the gardens.
Inside , as you follow the rhythm of the material and immaterial strata that make up the scenography of the tour, you build your own experience of wine through a progressive multi-sensory immersion. A 300 m² tour.
For adults: your entrance ticket includes a wine tasting and a connected bracelet which analyzes your visit profile of the day, your interactions and movements on the site to draw up your profile as a Burgundy wine lover at the end of the tour.
Thanks to visual, tactile, olfactory and acoustic installations, you can explore the world of Burgundy wines, the landscapes, the archaeology, the terroir, the vines, the climates, the passion of the men and women who work the vines and patiently age the wines... You'll realize that wine is a matter of time.
For children: a tour specially designed for them in 4 "secret cellars". Booklet of games to reserve online and pick up at reception.
The Cité des Climats et des vins de Bourgogne in Chablis also offers wine discovery workshops, introductory courses and tailor-made training courses, making the site an essential part of the Yonne region since its opening in May 2023. You can learn more about wine-tasting techniques at the École des Vins de Bourgogne, the benchmark for learning how to taste Burgundy wines.
If you'd like to discover a unique, innovative venue that links the past, present and future, and experience the richness and subtlety of Burgundy wines, you've come to the right place in Chablis, at the Portes d'Or of Burgundy! Don't miss out on a bite to eat at the Ponti'Bar, where afterworks and themed lunches are regularly organized.

Dommage la chaleur est intenable quand il fait chaud alors que nous pensions qu'il ferait frais dans ce vieux bâtiment.
