Artificial lake regulating the waters of the Yonne and Seine rivers at Chastellux-sur-Cure.

Straddling the Yonne and the Nièvre, the artificial lake of Crescent is based on a dam built between 1929 and 1932, 37 m high and 330 m long. It fully plays its role of regulating the waters of the Yonne and the Seine in order to avoid the Parisians having their feet in the water. Swimming is possible on the Iacaunaise part, in Chastellux-sur-Cure while an educational circuit invites to discover the place and its environment.
