Fountain inaugurated in 2011 which underlines the historical past of the region of Coulanges-sur-Yonne.
Inaugurated in 2011, the "Compagnons Flotteurs" fountain is the work of sculptor Yves Varanguin and ceramist Jean-Michel Doix. Placed in the centre of the village, this fountain underlines the historical past of the region with the floating of wood: the sculpture overlooking the basin pays homage to the perilous work of the floaters in charge of disentangling the pieces of wood that often formed dams in the narrow passages of the canal. Pretty ceramic elements represent foliage, flowers and wild grasses; there is also a water hen dipping its feet in the water.
