If there's one event not to be missed, it's the Accolay Watersports Festival. In this traditional tournament, two players compete against each other on the water, by category (level, gender and age). The two boats are flat-bottomed boats, one red and one blue. The two wooden boats have inscriptions: on the blue one is written "You will go" and on the red one "You too". Each player must push his opponent into the water when the boats cross to the right. Players are eliminated as the tournament progresses, with the winner being the one who remains standing. The loser is declared "wet". The two finalists are designated Dry King for the winner, and Soft King for the loser. A competition which every year enlivens the Nivernais canal and its banks with the clamour of spectators and players!
