Chapel that testifies to the commandery of the Hospitallers of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem.
The chapel of Saulce d'Island seems to have been built at the beginning of the XIIth century and testifies to the Commandery of the Hospitallers of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem. The Temple, a military and religious order, was founded in 1118 and dissolved in 1314. The chapel of Gothic architecture is not visited (except during the Heritage Days), now privately owned by a couple who restored the whole and who live there.
