CHÂTEAU DE FAULIN
Now a private residence, the 13th century castle, located at the foot of a wooded hill, can only be visited on Heritage Days or by appointment for associations or archaeological societies. It is composed of the castle and its bailey, the whole is surrounded by a rectangular enclosure with its 3 towers, it also counts a keep and a tower on square plan. In the eastern tower, the chapel is adorned with a painted decoration from the beginning of the 17th century, depicting the childhood of Christ and the crowning of the Virgin. The covered way still leads to the keep while the castle of Faulin has kept its dry moat, protective. There are also numerous bretches, fire hydrants, archways and stunners as well as wrought iron grills on the low windows. The site is part of the filming locations of the movie La Grande vadrouille, more precisely for the scene where the English aviators accompanying Louis de Funès and Bourvil steal the yellow Citroën C 4F truck filled with pumpkins, and Sisters.
