Fresh, local produce is the credo of this excellent restaurant run by chef Nicolas Brelaud, whose Restaurant du Canal next door has long since proved its worth. On the Plaisirs menu, we feasted on a velouté of marinière and saffron-scented shellfish fumet with peeled mussels, prawn bouquets, crispy puff pastry twists with garlic and olive oil and aïoli. This is followed by sautoir-roasted fillet of beef, before concluding with a crunchy almond millefeuille and Grand-Marnier crème diplomate. Tasty!
