MOULIN DE VANNEAU
This mill, founded by the monks of the Saint-Germain abbey, is today the only water mill in the region still in operation
Founded by the monks of Saint-Germain Abbey around 770, the mill ceased its activity in 1914. Restored, it is now the only water mill in the region still in operation; it still smells of flour and bran. A beautiful collection of old tools and agricultural machinery, almost all from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, can be seen. We also like the miller's dwelling, and the local restaurant located in the former granary. A digestive stroll will also make you discover the animals, and the marsh where medicinal plants grow.
