A former coal mine with 120 workers who extracted around 12,000 t per year from shafts 300 m deep
In the 19th century, an anthracite coal mine was exploited on the territory of the commune until 1907. 120 workers extracted about 12,000 t per year in shafts up to 300 m deep. For safety reasons, the shafts have been closed, but the old dwellings, in the hamlet of Les Corons, and the miners' bistro are partly visible.
