ABRAHAM'S HOUSE
This house, listed as a historic monument since 1923, is one of the oldest and most famous in Sens.
You can't visit the city centre without passing in front of the House of Abraham. Listed as a historical monument since 1923, this 16th century half-timbered house is one of the oldest and most famous in Sens. In addition to its half-timbering on which are carved the working tools of the tanners (it is one of them who had the building built), a Jesse tree carved on the corner post represents the Virgin and eight kings of Israel. Its showcase has now become an annex to the Museums of Sens and their temporary exhibitions.
