It was at the beginning of the 20th century that the Ediles de Sens, radical republicans, decided to build this town hall whose proportions were to rival those of the neighbouring cathedral. In April 1901, the first stone was laid. The result is a building teeming with architectural details to be seen, notably the clock surmounted by a statue of Brennus, leader of the Senons in the 3rd century BC, but also the diabolical monsters at the foot of the spire, the sculpted cornices, the large architectural windows...
