A unique, exotic 1.5-hectare quarry used for beautiful Parisian monuments such as the Opéra Garnier and Hôtel de Ville..

Unique and exotic! Some beautiful Parisian monuments know the stone from the Aubigny quarries in their construction: the Opéra Garnier, the Hôtel de Ville, the Louvre... An oolitic limestone formed 150 million years ago. Here, there are 1 ha and a half of underground. This is a real eye-opener and you will find yourself alone for a moment with yourself at the centre of the earth, understand the work of the quarrymen and get lost in these great underground cathedrals, observe the masterpieces and models of the companions of duty. Perfect during the summer heat waves when having to carry a sweater becomes a burden. We love the stone-cutting workshops where we leave with our "masterpiece".

sehr interessant, aber leider etwas zu teuer (9,50 € pro Person, ohne Führung)... wir kamen um 11.30 an und sind eine halbe Stunde durchgegangen, was schon eigentlich ausreichend ist. Es blieb uns allerdings auch nichts anderes übrig, weil das Eingangsgitter von 12 bis 14.30 geschlossen ist.... man wäre dann quasi eingesperrt! Empfehlenswert ist außerdem warme Kleidung. Hunde sind erlaubt

Une superbe visite à la carrière d'Aubigny. Un atelier taille de pierre qui nous a permis de ramener un superbe souvenir de ce moment et une belle visite, impressionnant, des gens à l'écoute, un super accueil et de superbes échanges. Une visite à faire sans hésiter en famille, entre amis, le lieu est toujours magique.
