A cross in Tharoiseau overlooking the Gros Mont hill to visit for a panoramic view from the top.
If the Mont Joie cross that dominates the hill of Gros Mont is not enough to motivate a walk to the top, the panoramic view that serves as a backdrop should encourage one to take this little stroll. Visible from afar and on the road to Vézelay, the sculpture warned the pilgrims that the arrival was near.
To get there, from Tharoiseau, turn right, along a wall of the 19th century castle, then towards the church, before continuing straight ahead. On the way, don't miss the wash house.
At the cemetery, as you leave the village, keep to the right on the D71. There is less than a kilometer to go.
