This church has a high tower built by Charles-Henri de Clermont
In 1164, the church was only a chapel of the Hôtel-Dieu Notre-Dame, which welcomed pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela, and it was not until the 16th and 17th centuries that it took on the face we know today, notably with its high tower built by Charles-Henri de Clermont, Count of Tonnerre. Above all, Notre-Dame has known many tragedies: burned by the English in 1359, by the Burgundians in 1414, and again in 1556, it also suffered the bombings of the Second World War. Quite a fate!
