The originality of this church lies in the location of the bell tower-porch on the right side, facing the town hall.
In 1858, the municipality decided to demolish his church. Four years later, Viollet-le-Duc drew the plans for the one that would replace it, and a Parisian contractor carried out the work, under the direction of a man named Lefort who was in charge of the restoration of the synodal palace of Sens. Its originality lies in the location of the bell-tower-porch on the right side, facing the town hall. Moreover, to adapt to the configuration of the square, Viollet-le-Duc chose to orient the choir to the west, giving the church a great width at the expense of its length.
