BISTROT L'ART ET L'ENVIE
Herick is the owner of the l'Art et le Vin cellar and who says wine means what to serve with it. Just opposite, he opened Le Bistrot de l'Art et de l'Envie, a wine bar where you can taste little wonders while snacking on a large table d'hôtes. Conviviality is the boss' key word... In the Bergerac wine racks, where, of course, all appellations are represented. But that's not all. We discover wines from different French regions, foreign wines, a rare Japanese whisky, old rums and many others in front of a gourmet plate of delicatessen meat, cheeses, goat cheese bread, grilled meats of the day, seasonal salads... The products processed are fresh, the cuisine is simple and tasty. On the programme are rib steak and French fries, poultry or beef skewers, chicken salad, sausage board. For dessert, you can choose without hesitation the homemade Bourbon vanilla crème brûlée. The wine list changes every two weeks and in one year more than 250 references have been tested by customers. The tastings are sometimes hosted by jazz groups either inside or on the terrace, just behind, nicely furnished with contemporary and bright furniture. Herick also offers advice on organising private parties on request.
