APREMONT-SUR-ALLIER CASTLE
Although visiting the interior of the castle is impossible for the public, discovering the exterior is already a delight, even though, from "twelve or fourteen beautiful and sumptuous towers" which were still crowning it in the fifteenth century, many of them were destroyed in the centuries destroyed. At the end of the nineteenth century, Eugène Schneider acquired the beautiful ensemble and constantly restored it, investing both its time and its means to make it one of the most striking in the region. Overlooking the village, it gives its nobility to one of the "most beautiful villages of France", a rare jewel, which is the picturesque medieval village of Apremont-sur-Allier.
