The Château des Stuarts, a Renaissance gem, was erected in the XVIᵉ century by Robert Stuart, Lord of Aubigny. Remodeled by Louise de Keroualle, Duchess of Portsmouth, it now houses the Town Hall and the Auld Alliance Interpretation Center, celebrating the union between France and Scotland. Visitors can admire Aubusson tapestries donated by Louis XIV and monumental fireplaces decorated with the Duchess's coat of arms. Classified as a historic monument since 1862, the château is surrounded by the Grands Jardins, laid out by Louise de Keroualle.
