SAINT-LUDRE CHURCH
Beautiful features announce Saint Ludre Church, imposing on the square of this charming little village whose name already enchants… The seventeenth century, in Romanesque art, built on a plane of Latin cross… Cross sculpted, this time, that you find the door of the dead as symbol of resurrection with the alpha and l 'omega'. These two Greek symbols were often taken over in primitive churches. In a xie capitals located on the pillar separating the double arcade in the choir to the left of the altar, you can see evil snakes taking place to bite the ears of the characters placed at the angles. An epitaph of the xve century, on the tomb of the priest Pierre d 'Asnières, questions our Latin knowledge. Another characteristic, not least, is the location of the tower tower on the right hand of transeven, almost unusual. Classified at Historic Monuments on February 20, 1959. Please note: the Aubois River takes its source under this church. His bed becomes parallel to the canal on Sancorners commune.
