Chic brasserie restaurant with excellent value for money in Bourges.

A gastronomic brasserie installed in a former 17th century abbey. Here is an unusual address as we like them! At the head of this restaurant, Christophe Lot and Pascal Chaupitre, former starred chefs. Since 2014, they have taken over the space of the Abbey of Saint-Ambroix, within the walls of the Hôtel du Bourbon. Here, the magic works in the decor, magnified by its high majestic vaults, and by the gourmet dishes on the plate. An excellent and accessible address.

Bien sûr, il est un peu excentré par rapport aux autres restaurants, mais c'est vraiment une halte gustative à recommander, dans un cadre très agréable. Le service est absolument parfait et la qualité des plats (je pense notamment à la pièce de boeuf) exceptionnelle. Surtout, n'hésitez pas !

La cuisine de ce restaurant façon brasserie est excellente (les chefs sont étoilés pour un autre restaurant de Bourges) et le rapport qualité - prix exceptionnel si l'on se tient aux plats sans supplément. Le cadre - une ancienne abbaye - est très original, et l'accueil très sympathique (mieux en 2016 qu'en 2015).

The dining room is superb in the abbey! The only downside: the decor! There are huge photographs that do not enhance the beauty of the place.

La salle, ancienne abbaye, a pris un beau coup de jeune! Couleurs toniques, lustres contemporains, une très belle table ronde pour les groupes. Cuisine traditionnelle, de jolies présentations. Belle carte de vins.
