The 110-seat room has the taste of the district cinemas and there are always people who can exchange on film and programming. That is the spirit of the place. Human and quality, openness to all audiences and many exchanges: evening debates with directors, cups-cups with small, school sessions (135 per year), film-cult in partnership with Cinema-Centre, short films with the association Ciclic to better know young filmmakers… Le Petit Smart remembers a refreshing evening with the projection of Avec, virtuose Breton musician and incredible energy, followed by a crêpes animation and dances with the Cher Bretons. Or a documentary about bees with a discussion with beekeepers and an ITU researcher who develops a connected hive. It is not for nothing that the cinema of the BCM has so many labels.
During the 2013-2014 season, nearly 200 films were screened out of 1 130 sessions both of the repertoire's masterpieces and national outputs. All foreign films are offered in original subtitled version. But it goes very well.
