Created in 1978 by the city of Bourges, sports schools are designed to offer all young people the choice of sports practice. Young Berruyers, aged 4 to 16, have access to over 30 disciplines with low financial participation and without having to buy equipment. Among the sports to be discovered throughout the school year: rowing, horse riding, boxing, fencing, judo, full-nature activities, baseball, badminton, basketball, BMX (to provide gloves), discovery of collective sports, baby gym, gymnastics, ice skating (cap and gloves)… Over thirty disciplines are proposed this year with the arrival of roller and female soccer. Students are supervised by territorial educators and state-patented stakeholders. Beware, plan a very long queue on the day of registration in the town hall.
