The academic inspectorate exercises its authority over all services and schools (higher education) in the Department of Cher. It decides on the opening and closing of schools and classes. It implements school teachers and teachers made available to the department and ensures their management. The Academy inspector also has responsibilities concerning pupils: orientation and assignment, scholarships, respect for the obligation of schooling, social action and health, animation of projects and educational projects. It shall designate the members of the juries, fix the dates of the examinations, make the choice of written tests and issue the diplomas: patents, patents for professional studies and CAP.
