The purpose of this government institution is to promote and protect labour law. It shall provide aid for vocational training and ensure its control. More generally, it encourages job creation and integration into enterprises. Its objective is to promote access to work or to return to working life. Moreover, it pilot the action of local structures of integration through economic activity. Recently merged with the Regional Directorate of Labour, Employment and Vocational Training, this ministerial body is now part of the Regional Directorates of Enterprise, Competition, Consumption, Labour and Employment.
