Founded in 1998, the Bourges Market Association (AMB) now has more than 500 members. More than 1 000 owners share these divided marshes in 1 500 plots of a surface of 50 m ² to 7 000 m ²! The AMB's mission is to protect and preserve the marshes by encouraging amateur gardeners (the last professional left the site in 1976) to continue to cultivate their plots. Assistance is provided to tenants and owners to facilitate the maintenance of their parcels and bright (training, workshops, brochures). A travelling exhibition has been circulating in the department for 3 years to raise public awareness of the beauty and fragility of these eco-systems. Far from the dark swamp of novels, the Bourges are maintained to balance wildlife and flora with human activity. Each room can be enjoyed by a family or friends in the heart of the city.
