SERVICE DU PATRIMOINE DE LA VILLE DE BOURGES
The Heritage Department celebrates the rich architectural and historical heritage of the city of Bourges in several ways. In particular, it publishes documents depicting Bourges's history (available to tourism ofice and museums). Some are free, others not. It organizes temporary exhibitions, specific visits and "Heritage Days" (program to be consulted on the site). It offers the young public various animations (workshops, visits, etc.). Beware! There is not always room for everyone. It is therefore more than advisable to register as quickly as possible to avoid being disappointed. The Heritage Department also provides initial training for the keynote guide exam "Cities and Countries of Art and History" organized in the Centre region and continuing training for approved guides. In recognition of the quality of its animations and the competence of its guides, the Heritage Department received the label "Cities and Countries of Art and History" attributed by the Ministry of Culture. A useful service to tourists but also to the Berruyers who love their city and are never tired of discovering new aspects.
