HOTEL CUJAS
This hotel was built in 1515 for a Florentine merchant located in Bourges. It was later bought by Jacques Cujas, regent of the University of Law at Bourges, who left him his name. Despite a plan and the usual arrangements for this period, the winding of the facades of the courtyard of brick and stone à is most original for the Berry. The decor of this hotel is Gothic inspiration, only the shells under the windows, the medallions and especially the present door refer to the first French Renaissance. Owned by the City of Bourges since 1878, Hotel Cujas is home to the Berry Museum.
