THE CAVE OF THE LOUTONNIÈRE
Go there and contact
In the heart of the Beaume forest, on the hillside of a hill, lies the cave of Loutonnière, probably occupied during the prehistoric period. The woods surrounding it provide game and wood, and the nearby Cher provides fish. The cave was probably formed by the excavation of the waters under Jurassic limestone plateau of Bathonian and Du. Many local legends refer to this: it would have been, for example, devoted to the druids'ceremonies or still sheltered a deserter. It is a excavation, partly filled, which is difficult to penetrate; It was visited by many curious people who, for the most part, left their names inscribed on the rock serving as natural stone in this cave.
