THE BIRTHPLACE OF ALAIN-FOURNIER
The house where Alain-Fournier and his sister Isabelle were born, on the road from Paris to La Chapelle-d'Angillon.
Along the Route de Paris, Alain-Fournier's well-preserved birthplace is a reminder of the author. Formerly the property of his maternal grandparents, his parents added a second floor for Isabelle's marriage to Jacques Rivière. The interior can be visited on request to her heir. In La Chapelle-d'Angillon, you can also visit the town hall-school where his parents taught, the parish church where he was baptized, the family cemetery, and the permanent exhibition in the Council Chamber
