THE BIRTHPLACE OF ALAIN-FOURNIER
Along the route of Paris, the home of Alain-Fournier and his sister Isabelle was well preserved in memory of the author. This residence first belonged to his maternal grandparents. His parents built a floor at the time of marriage of their daughter Isabelle with Jacques River. The interior can be visited upon request by Alain Fournier's heir. Also at La Chapelle-d'Angillon, the school town where Alain-Fournier's parents taught from 1903 to 1907, Maison house in the novel; the parish church where he was baptized and the small cemetery where his family members are buried.
