Built in the ^15th century by Charles ^I d'Amboise, chamberlain to Louis XII, Château de Meillant reveals its splendid duality in the heart of a beautiful park with century-old trees. On one side, moats, bare stones and austere towers, on the other, a flamboyant Gothic facade with a hint of Italian Renaissance influence. Reconstructions of village scenes in miniature, antique toys, carriages and carriages of yesteryear...: the château's permanent exhibitions take you back in time. Opening time and information on MEILLANT CASTLE

Closed from mid-November to early March. Open daily from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm. Open non-stop from 10am to 6:30pm in July and August. Renovations planned for 2022, see website for details. Adults: €9. Children (aged 5 to 12): €5. Children welcome. Guided tour.

très beau château

Ce château toujours en restauration a toujours appartenu à la même famille. Il a évolué au fil des siècles et on peut admirer les différences de style. Le parc ombragé permet une belle promenade. Il ne faut pas oublier la collection de voitures anciennes!
