THE TOWER OF VESVRE
Explore the fascinating Tour de Vesvre, a listed 12th-century medieval building perched on a clay hill.
Built around 1200 by Hugues de Vesvre, a descendant of Norman invaders, the tower still overlooks its clay promontory. Inhabited until 1961, this medieval stronghold was listed as a historic monument in 1993. In high season, members of the association Les Amis de la Tour de Vesvre are happy to guide you on your visit and tell you all about the history of this monument of remarkable architecture. Special mention to the Friends of the Tour de Vesvre. This association is dedicated to researching and maintaining the tower.
