MUSEUM OF ANCIENT TOOLS MICHEL-LANGLOIS
On the first floor of the city hall of Saint-Jeanvrin, a large collection of antique tools are exhibited. This remarkable ensemble belonged to Michel Langlois, a Berrichon de Poinconnet whose family lived in Saint-Jeanvrain. Michel Langlois has been a real enthusiast of ancient tools and has collected his entire life during the brothels. In this way, he bequeathed over 900 tools to the commune: tarare, guillaume, bisaguë, varlope… A real treasure in very good condition representing all the professions of the past: Charring, glazing, sabotaging, stone cutting, long sawdust… These tools are all memories to remember. Unfortunately, Michel Langlois died before the museum opened his name, but his memory will continue thanks to his passion.
